Wow, first time I see it on eBay. It looks like it is damaged on one label, like one half of it is missing. What a shame, but anyway, this is probably the most valuable promo only The Cure tape.

Hehe, too bad I live in Sweden.. :( I suppose the chances that this tape would have made it over here is approx. 0.0001%.

I live only at 20 kms from spain... I will check all the San Sebastian's record store :-)))
Jan, 7 2009 8:53 PM

If this tape had been sent out to radio stations etc., or it wasn't just a tape but a CD or vinyl, then I guess it would be at least a little visible in the collectors market (even if only 100 copies were made, like the Obtainers 7"). Since this tape was given away to ordinary buyers, it's no way. Most of them were probably abandoned in dusty shelves or boxes to sooner or later be thrown away. I can't think of many things less practical than a 2-track tape in the CD era. But that's the true great thing about cassettes in general: wonderfully sought after and diverse. They don't even show up in record fairs. What I love from tapes is that many existing tapes remain unkwnown today; and of course, no other format shows such a great variety of designs.

this is a strange on to me as i got it when it first came out, stuck it in my collection and never classed it as a very rare item, but the interest from this item on my list told me other wise !! just shows 25 years of collect means you still know nothing !!
Jan, 7 2009 6:35 PM
Like a holy graal for me ! Does anyone know how much copies were released ???
Jan, 7 2009 2:58 PM
